An important part of Spheric-Trafalgar is its manufacturing division. We have over 200 grinding and lapping machines that give us the flexibility to machine balls of many different materials and sizes to different tolerances. What ever your requirements, we will find a way to meet your expectations.

Distribution
Within our own warehouse we have a vast range of products that have been purchased from approved suppliers from all over the world. In the unlikely event of us not being able to supply from stock, we can by the use of over 30 years experience, quickly find a source.

Plate Cutting
Using the latest state of the art machining centres we are able to produce lapping and grinding plates designed by our own engineers, to our own specifications. This has a direct and positive effect on the end products.

Inspection
Heavy investment has been made in this important area. We have Talyronds and Steyer measuring machines to check Sphericity, Harmonics and Waveness specifications, MovoMatic and Heidenhain measuring machines to check diameters. We also have material analysis equipment, salt spray test equipment and a range of Hardness Testing equipment. Our lab is temperature controlled to ± 1°C. We maintain full tracability with all our products. Naturally we are an BS:EN:ISO 9001:2000 company but are also UKAS BS:EN:ISO:IEC 17025 approved Calibration Laboratory that is independently audited.

Special Products
An important division that specialises in manufacturing modified balls. Products include ball gauges, CMM Standards, Master Ball sets, Balls with holes, flats, half balls or special ball ended probes to customer designs. Equipment includes 3 spark eroders, CNC machines, Milling equipment, brazing equipment and grinding equipment.
